What is Shop Establishment Registration?
Shops Establishment registration is a state based registration, which is required while establishing a shop, hotel, or any commercial place in that particular state. It is mandatory for every new shop/establishment to get it registered under the Shops and Establishment Act and get the license within 30 days from the commencement of the work.
Is Shop & Establishment Registration is Mandatory?
Every shop and establishment needs to register itself compulsorily under the respective state Act within 30 days of commencement of work. This is a basic license to obtain by every business, and this license can work to obtain many other licenses and serve as proof of a commercial business. To get Shop license, you would need to provide the PAN card of the business owner or the business itself, a copy of the rental agreement or sale deed, photos of the establishment and details of all the employees.
